Hi, I'm David.

I live in Blyth, on the Northumberland coast. I love woodworking, even if my enthusiasm is still well ahead of my skill. I'm very much a measure twice, cut once kind of guy.

I co-founded Blyth Shed, a community woodwork space where local people get together to make things, share skills and have a chat over a brew.

I build ShedManager.uk, which helps community sheds and workshops keep members, sessions, payments and safety records in one place, so there's more time for the workbench. I also built SentriLink.uk entirely on my own. It provides off-grid alarms and monitoring for allotments, sheds and outbuildings that send clear alerts to keyholders.

Northumberland is a great place to call home. It's the least densely populated county in England and has more castles than any other, from Bamburgh to Alnwick. Hadrian's Wall runs right across it, Kielder has some of the darkest night skies in the country, and the tide cuts Holy Island off from the mainland twice a day.
